Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar inaugurated a ₹90.70 crore automatic curd plant at Karimnagar Dairy. The facility was established with support from both the Centre and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), aimed at enhancing the region’s dairy processing capacity and promoting value addition in milk products.

At the inauguration, the minister announced the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Dhan Dhanya Krushi Yojana across four Telangana districts—Gadwal, Narayanpet, Nagar Kurnool, and Jangaon—with an annual allocation of ₹24,000 crore for six years. Bandi Sanjay Kumar took the opportunity to highlight Karimnagar Dairy’s impressive legacy, noting its daily collection of two lakh litres of milk, the sale of 40 lakh litres of curd, and livelihoods provided to nearly one lakh farmers. The event concluded with a call to the state government to bolster support for Karimnagar Dairy’s investment and growth, emphasizing that the cooperative dairy sector plays a significant role in employment and rural prosperity in Telangana.
