The Holstein cattle will be transported via land to various states across Mexico.

Mazatlán, Sinaloa: A new shipment of Holstein dairy cattle is scheduled to arrive in Mazatlán directly from Australia, as announced by Rear Admiral Mariel Aquileo Ancona Infanzón, Director of the National Port System Administration of Mazatlán (Asipona). Approximately 5,000 Holstein cows, known for their high milk production demand, will be transported to several Mexican states. Earlier this year, the first shipment of 3,019 animals arrived in March.
“We have everything prepared just like the last time. This is the second landing, initially planned for three shipments of cows, though there are proposals for more imports later this year,”stated Infanzón. The initiative aims to repopulate the dairy cattle herds in Mexico, reflecting confidence across all levels of government. Despite tariff challenges, material transportation such as steel, wood, and automotive units continues. Preparations are also underway for the garbanzo harvest, with ongoing discussions with producers to ensure timely shipments.
