Arla Foods recalls protein puddings across UK retailers

Arla Foods announced the withdrawal on October 26, 2026, after identifying possible physical contamination in selected production batches of its protein pudding range. The food-safety notice was issued with the UK Food Standards Agency (FSA).

The recall covers refrigerated, single-serve pots in three flavours: Chocolate, Salted Caramel and Vanilla Cookie. Each affected product weighs 200 grams, and the relevant best-before dates fall in January and February 2027. Arla’s Vanilla Cookie 200g pots are among the lines included in the notice.

The FSA said that some of the products could contain small pieces of glass. It classified the products as unsafe for consumption because the contamination could cause choking or injuries inside the mouth and digestive tract.

Recall notices have been sent to supermarkets, regional grocery businesses and convenience stores that may have stocked the affected batches. Retailers have been told to remove the specified products from chilled displays. The notice applies to the listed date codes rather than the entire protein pudding range.

Consumers who bought products covered by the alert have been advised not to eat them. They can return the pots to the shop where they were purchased for a full refund, according to the recall guidance.

Arla’s quality-assurance team is tracking the affected batches and examining production records. The cooperative has also established customer-care channels to handle returns while the source of the packaging-line problem is investigated.
