Arla Foods Ingredients will showcase shake innovations at SupplySide Global
Arla Foods Ingredients will demonstrate three clear protein beverages at SupplySide Global, presenting them as alternatives to conventional milk-based shakes. The concepts are designed for different exercise contexts, performance aims and active lifestyles rather than a single general-purpose use.
All three products address recovery while offering distinct formulations. The BUILD resistance shake combines Lacprodan ISO.RefreshShake with creatine and is intended for activities including weightlifting, strength training and CrossFit. The SUSTAIN endurance shake uses Lacprodan Pro2O together with carbohydrates and electrolytes for running, cycling and other endurance sports.
The third product, MOVE, is a mobility shake based on Lacprodan ISO.WaterShake and collagen. Arla Foods Ingredients has positioned it for activities such as yoga, Pilates, gymnastics and dance. The company said clear protein drinks are being developed in response to demand for lighter, fruit-flavoured and more refreshing products.
Peter Schouw Andersen, senior director for performance nutrition at Arla Foods Ingredients, said the concepts show how clear whey-protein isolates can be used to adapt products to consumer requirements and performance objectives. He said the range was aimed at both committed athletes and people who are routinely active, combining protein with functional ingredients in a convenient format.
Andersen also said the concepts cover strength and power, endurance and hydration, and mobility and flexibility. He described clear whey protein as a base for personalised sports nutrition and said the products were intended to support innovation involving more than one benefit in a single sports-nutrition product.
Visitors to booth 2945 will also be able to see three other products. AirBar is an aerated milk-protein bar made with Nutrilac PB-8420, which provides aeration and texture stability during processing and storage. Another product is a water-based protein shot containing Lacprodan BLG-100. It provides 21g of protein per 100ml, contains no fat or sugar, has low lactose content and is designed for consumers with reduced appetite as a companion-nutrition product for GLP-1 users.
The final additional concept is a carbonated protein drink made with Lacprodan Pro2O. Arla Foods Ingredients said the ingredient enables clear, low-viscosity beverages with clean taste, low astringency and pronounced flavour. The company will offer samples of the products during the event in Las Vegas.
