Argentinian Family Expands Dairy Production Using Robotics

The Barra family from Ataliva, located in the Santa Fe province of Argentina, has announced plans to implement a second robotic milking system. This expansion is set to include the installation of two new milking robots, alongside the establishment of a dedicated maternity area for cows.

Having successfully amortized their initial investment in robotic milking technology, the family is looking to boost production efficiency and improve the welfare of their livestock. The new system is designed to support an increased capacity, targeting the management of up to 400 milking cows.

The decision to expand comes after positive results from their first foray into robotic milking, which has reportedly improved operational outcomes. The additional robots are expected to further streamline processes, reducing manual labor and enhancing the precision of milking activities.
