Argentinian Dairy Firm Invests $12M to Reopen Closed Plant
In a strategic move to bolster its presence in the domestic market, La Ramada, a dairy company from Esperanza, Santa Fe, has announced a $12 million investment plan. This investment is set to not only reopen a key facility in Córdoba but also expand production lines for long-life milk and packaged cream at its industrial complex in Franck. The initiative aims to diversify the company's product portfolio and introduce its own brand, Regina, into the mass consumer market. A notable component of this investment is the acquisition of the Villa del Rosario plant in Córdoba, previously owned by La Lácteo and inactive since 2023.

Valued at $2.5 million, the acquisition allows La Ramada to use the La Lácteo brand for the next decade, easing entry into the mass market while establishing Regina. An additional $2.5 million will be allocated for modernizing the Córdoba plant, bringing the total investment there to $5 million. This venture is expected to generate approximately 100 new jobs, enhancing La Ramada's competitive edge and contributing to economic revitalization in the region. The firm's strategy highlights its commitment to becoming a nationwide player with vertically integrated production capabilities, positioning itself as a key growth and resilience model in the challenging economic landscape.
