Argentina's Favorite Ice Cream Flavors Revealed
The Association of Artisan Ice Cream Manufacturers and Related (AFADHYA) has shared insights into Argentina's ice cream consumption and preferences. According to their data, 90% of Argentinians enjoy ice cream year-round, with Dulce de Leche Granizado topping the list of favorite flavors, closely followed by Chocolate with Almonds.
Surprisingly, ice cream is considered a national emblem by 60% of the population, likening it to wine and the traditional "asado." The annual per capita consumption reaches 7 kilograms, showcasing the country's devotion to this treat even beyond the summer months.
This year marks an exciting development for ice cream enthusiasts as Argentina prepares to host the Copa América of Artisan Ice Cream in Córdoba from June 9-12 during the FITHEP Centro Expoalimentaria 2025. Teams will compete in creating ice cream cakes, petit fours of chocolate, and finger food, among other challenges.
