Araçatuba Led Brazil’s Milk Exports Through August 2026
Araçatuba’s export figures were compiled by Brazil’s Economic Observatory from data held by the Ministry of Development, Industry, Foreign Trade and Services (MDIC). The figures, released on September 15, cover the first eight months of 2026.
Exports of milk and cream that were not concentrated and contained no added sugar or other sweeteners reached $6.83m. That was the highest value recorded by any Brazilian municipality in the category. The figure was also the largest among the three product groups in which Araçatuba occupied the national top position.
The municipality ranked first nationally for two additional categories. Exports of products made from animal intestines, bladders, stomachs or tendons totalled $3.38m, while prepared or preserved tomatoes generated $354,210.
Araçatuba also had a presence in related dairy categories. It ranked third in Brazil for exports of whey and products consisting of natural milk constituents, with $615,030 recorded between January and August. Within São Paulo state, the municipality ranked first in milk and cream, animal-intestine products, prepared tomatoes and whey.
The municipality’s export basket extended beyond dairy and food products. It ranked fifth nationally for washing machines, with exports of $664,070, and for diphosphorus pentoxide, phosphoric acid and polyphosphoric acids, with $88,800. Leather and hides accounted for $31,320. Araçatuba ranked sixth for industrial monocarboxylic fatty acids, acid oils from refining and industrial fatty alcohols, a category worth $5.69m.
Other products recorded among Araçatuba’s exports included optical fibres, gas generators, cast-iron, iron and steel articles, antibiotics, trailers and semi-trailers, water and other non-alcoholic drinks, and ethyl alcohol. The Economic Observatory said these products also featured among São Paulo’s leading export categories. MDIC is responsible for Brazil’s official foreign-trade records.
