Anuga FoodTec will present transferable solutions in 2027
Anuga FoodTec is scheduled for 23–26 February 2027. The organisers said the event would show how technological change is being applied in the food and beverage industries. Its specialist programme is designed to classify new solutions and demonstrate how they can be incorporated into industrial processes, providing trade visitors with information for technical decisions and planned investment.
About 176 participants will contribute to 55 sessions held on the Innovation Stage and in the SMART and SUSTAINABLE Community Hubs. A further 44 sessions are planned for the Speakers Corner stage. The German Agricultural Society (DLG) is sponsoring the programme and has developed its content. Nine guided tours of selected applications in the exhibition halls will also be offered.
The Innovation Stage will contain 20 sessions, making it the largest of the event’s specialist programme areas. The daily agenda will be organised around different processing fields. Milk and milk alternatives will be covered on the opening day, followed by meat and substitute products on the second day. Thursday’s programme will focus on liquid food and special water, while the final day will address plant-based food and food packaging.
The programme will cover science and pioneering work, food processing, safety and analytics, environment and energy. Other subjects include intralogistics, food packaging and pet food. “New technologies first convince when they function in the everyday industrial routine,” said Carola K. Herbst, deputy managing director of the DLG Competence Center Agriculture and Food. She said the programme would present their practical contribution and bring developers and users together for discussion.
Several formats will address different levels of technical detail and participation. Deep Dives will examine technical subjects in depth, while Science Slams will present research in an accessible format. Open Expert Stages will allow visitors to join discussions directly, and a Fishbowl format will bring together different perspectives.
Careers Day, scheduled for 26 February, will connect students, alumni and young professionals with companies from food and beverage production. The DLG Bar Camp and a guided tour are listed as relevant activities for that audience. The DLG Hackathon is also included in the specialist programme.
