Animal-Centric Breeding Initiative to Enhance Dairy Farmers' Income
The State government has launched an 'Animal-Centric Breeding Approach' aimed at enhancing the income of dairy farmers and improving livestock productivity. The initiative was highlighted by Nellore District Collector Himanshu Shukla during an awareness campaign for livestock farmers, part of the 'Palle Veekshana' program, held at Kulluru village in SPSR Nellore district.
The Collector emphasized that the program would utilize scientific methods to provide services to cattle, improve reproductive efficiency, and boost milk production. He encouraged farmers to leverage this opportunity for further development in the Animal Husbandry sector.
During the event, attendees including Venkatagiri MLA Kurugondla Ramakrishna, and officials from the Animal Husbandry Department, participated in activities aimed at promoting the initiative. Animal feed was distributed to dairy farmers, and a calf beauty contest was organized with prizes awarded to the winners.
