During his speech at the BJP’s Maharashtra convention in Pune, Shah refuted claims circulating based on an outdated notification, which he clarified had no connection to the current administration's policies.
Shah explained that the confusion arose from a misattributed circular, which he discussed with Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal. Goyal confirmed that the notification was from the tenure of Sharad Pawar, distancing the current government from decisions made in the past.
“In the last ten years, not even one kg of milk powder was imported, and in the next five years, not even one gram will be,” Shah affirmed, dismissing the opposition’s claims as politically motivated misinformation intended to influence upcoming elections.
