Amid Strike Threats, Alpura Issues Official Statement on Labor Talks

Following recent threats of a strike by workers supporting CROC union leaders, Alpura has released an official statement reaffirming its commitment to open dialogue and labor stability. The company’s response comes amid growing tensions that could impact dairy production and supply across Mexico.

At Alpura we have always favored open dialogue, unrestricted respect for labor rights and the construction of agreements that benefit all those who are part of our great family. We are convinced that, through legality, understanding and mutual will, it is possible to reach solutions that balance the interests and well-being of our employees with the viability and continuity of our operations, serving the market and our customers with excellence.
The pleading was filed on July 4. A response was filed within 48 hours with the competent authorities, in a document that individually addressed each of the allegations contained in the statement of claim.
Committed to reaching an agreement as soon as possible, the company's negotiating team has actively participated in the Federal Center for Conciliation and Labor Registration, established by the corresponding authority. The work tables were set up on July 17 and are progressing positively, as shown in the minutes signed by all parties.
For this reason, it is surprising that on July 18, the union leadership unilaterally decided to suspend the work tables scheduled for Monday, July 21.
Alpura reiterates its full willingness to continue with the talks and has stated - formally and verbally - its policy and interest in maintaining a lively dialogue with its employees in order to responsibly address the concerns of its unionized employees in the different organizations that represent them.
We are confident that the negotiation process will resume its course within a framework of respect, legality and responsibility, and that a satisfactory agreement will be reached for the parties.
