The American delegation of experts in dairy farming visited Kazakh farms

On April 22, 2024, the delegation visited IP Abdrakhmanov B.D. near the city of Shchuchinsk. During the visit to the dairy farm, the experts got acquainted with the peculiarities of keeping animals on the farm. Experts from the USA shared their experience in the introduction and management of dairy farms.
On April 24, a meeting with American experts took place at the Qazaqsut office. Kazakh representatives of the chambers of Hereford, Auliekol, Kalmyk, Kazakh white-headed breeds told about the peculiarities of their breeds. The delegation, together with the Chambers, discussed the peculiarities of livestock breeding in Kazakhstan, as well as the development and possibilities of strengthening the role of local breeds in the international arena of livestock breeding.
Also, during the visit, the delegation visited the KAZBEEF farm. A special feature of this farm is the use of the American animal welfare system, which allows it to be managed more effectively. The experts got acquainted with the veterinary unit, the animal identification system and the method of storing feed on the farm. Further plans for the development of the farm in the near future were discussed. The experts shared their opinion.
In addition, it is reported that the Republican Chamber of Dairy and Combined Breeds "Qazaqsut" together with the Republican Center for Livestock Breeding "ASYL TULIK" held a training seminar with speakers from the United States. One of the speakers, Dr. Nathan Dorshorst, spoke about the latest technologies in the field of embryology in dairy farming, about the advantages of embryo transplantation. After finishing his speech, he presented a set of tools for embryo transplantation to the Director of the ASSYL TULIK RCPJ. Expert Peter Mappecke spoke about the importance of cow comfort and the impact of external conditions on cow productivity. The last speaker was titled farmer Tom Kestell, whose cows have become national champions in dairy productivity hundreds of times, he shared about important aspects of the introduction of a dairy farm, as well as the secrets of his success. At the end of the event, an employee of the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture presented the famous cheeses from their state to all participants of the seminar.
