Alvoar's Investment in Alagoas Boosts Dairy Production Capabilities

Alvoar has commenced its operations in Alagoas, marking a significant development in the region's dairy industry. The company invested approximately R$ 60 million in the refurbishment and modernization of a dairy facility originally launched by the Cooperativa da Produção Leiteira de Alagoas (CPLA). Under the agreement, Alvoar will operate 80% of the facility's capacity for a period of 20 years.

This initiative aims to strengthen the relationship between industry, cooperatives, and public programs. During an official visit, CPLA signed a R$ 12 million contract with the Companhia Nacional de Abastecimento (Conab) to supply powdered milk to the Programa de Aquisição de Alimentos (PAA). The partnership with Alvoar was crucial in facilitating this new phase of restructuring.

Alvoar's focus is on capturing and processing milk produced within Alagoas, aligning with the growing trend in the northeastern dairy industry. According to the IBGE, the Northeast region saw a 14.6% increase in formal milk collection in 2025, surpassing the national average of 8.5%.

The full operation of Alvoar in Alagoas signifies a broader trend of industrial expansion, increased processing capacity, and heightened competition for raw materials in the regional dairy supply chain.

This development is expected to stimulate investments in technology, expand production, and improve cattle herds, thus strengthening the dairy sector in Alagoas.
