Alpura Donates Milk to Schools in Mexico Through Promotion
Alpura, a prominent dairy company, has executed a strategic initiative by donating 15,000 liters of milk to educational institutions in Cuautitlán Izcalli, located in the State of Mexico. This effort was part of a community-focused sports event named 'Rodada con Impacto', which coincided with the relaunch of Alpura PRO, a line of hyper-protein dairy products.
The event took place on July 26 at the Alameda Central in Mexico City, featuring 50 stationary bicycles where over 500 participants cycled in 20-minute shifts. The distance covered by the participants was converted into liters of milk, earmarked for distribution among 20 public schools in Cuautitlán Izcalli. This donation is set to directly benefit 1,500 children each month over a six-month period, with an indirect impact on over 9,000 members of the school communities.
The Alpura PRO product line targets consumers aiming to optimize their daily macronutrient intake. According to René Osorio, Head of Marketing Derivados at Alpura, the product is made from ultrafiltered milk with added vitamins A and D, providing 54 grams of protein per package.
In addition to nutritional contributions, the company is committed to environmental sustainability. The packaging for Alpura PRO uses materials certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®). Moreover, the initiative includes placing collection containers in the beneficiary schools to facilitate the recycling of Tetra Pak containers, in collaboration with specialized processing companies.
This initiative is part of Alpura's broader corporate social responsibility agenda, facilitated by the Alpura Foundation, which emphasizes nutrition, well-being, and community development for vulnerable children. The integration of physical activity, specialized nutrition through ultrafiltration technology, and school supply logistics strengthens Alpura's role as a socially responsible company in the central region of Mexico.
