Ahold Delhaize USA collaborates with Danone North America and The Nature Conservancy to launch a pilot project aimed at cutting methane emissions in the dairy supply chain.

Ahold Delhaize USA is embarking on an initiative to tackle methane emissions by collaborating with Danone North America and The Nature Conservancy. Announced on Tuesday, this pilot project aims to improve resilience in farm operations and reduce Scope 3 emissions from dairy production. It marks the grocer's fourth sustainable agriculture endeavor, following a partnership with Kellanova to cut greenhouse gas emissions in wheat farming. The current project targets reducing emissions in the dairy supply of selected Danone yogurt products over five years. The plan includes practical on-farm methods like manure management and irrigation efficiency, aided by The Nature Conservancy's expertise in agricultural systems and impact investing. The effort aligns with Ahold Delhaize USA's ongoing commitment to fostering a healthier planet through innovative agricultural practices.
