Agroindústria Oliveira Wins Approval to Sell Across Paraná
Agroindústria Oliveira, a family dairy business in Guarapuava, received the SUSAF-PR certification on September 4. The approval permits products inspected by the municipality’s Serviço de Inspeção Municipal (SIM) to be sold in any city in Paraná.
Before the certification, SIM-inspected goods could be marketed only within the municipality where they were produced. Elizangela Coradassi, director of Guarapuava’s municipal inspection service, said the state seal establishes equivalence between municipal and state inspection, enabling the broader distribution.
Rodrigo Oliveira, the certified producer, described the approval as recognition of the business’s work as well as a commercial opportunity. “It represents growth. It represents work being recognised and the opportunity for significant growth, not only in the municipality, but throughout the Paraná region now,” he said.
The certification was presented during a municipal agriculture department event that also celebrated results from a national cheese competition. Three Guarapuava agro-industries were credited with 10 medals among roughly 2,500 cheeses. The source’s itemised results record two golds for Queijaria Bella Luz, for its Colonial cheese and a 45-day-aged Colonial, plus a bronze for Colonial with wine.
Agroindústria Oliveira won gold for its Colonial and its Colonial with artisanal beer. QFRO received silver for Colonial with coffee and bronze medals for its traditional Colonial and Requeijão de Corte. The reported total for the three businesses is 10 medals, while the itemised awards name eight.
The producers have also received technical assistance covering the organisation of their agro-industries, together with veterinary and sanitary management of the herds supplying the milk. Coradassi said the project was new and that the competition results demonstrated its development. Márcia Zago, head of Adapar’s regional office in Guarapuava, said certification increases the visibility of artisanal products and expands opportunities for sales and added value in rural production.
Celso Doliveira, the municipal agriculture secretary, said small agro-industries provide ways to generate revenue and reach larger markets. Representatives of the three dairies attended the certification ceremony alongside municipal officials.
