ADM and New Culture Partner to Commercialize Animal-Free Dairy Products

ADM has entered into a strategic partnership with New Culture, an animal-free dairy company, to bring alternative dairy products to market. New Culture is known for producing animal-free products, such as mozzarella, that closely mimic conventional dairy in taste, texture, functionality, and nutritional content.
This collaboration will focus on joint product development and aims to accelerate the commercialization of New Culture’s animal-free casein and dairy products. New Culture will benefit from ADM’s extensive range of ingredients and flavors during its research and development phase.
Ian Pinner, ADM’s senior vice president of strategy and innovation, commented, "ADM is a global leader in the rapidly expanding alternative protein sector. We’re excited to enhance our capabilities through various initiatives, including our Decatur production expansion, acquisitions like Sojaprotein, the launch of Scale Up Bio in Singapore, and now, this innovative partnership with New Culture."

The partnership aims to expedite New Culture’s efforts to commercialize its animal-free mozzarella, initially targeting US pizzerias in 2023. As New Culture expands its market presence, ADM’s production facilities for both fermentation and dairy operations will support the increased demand for their cheese products.
