A fire damaged Laticínios Veneza’s office block

Firefighters were called to Laticínios Veneza at about 7:52pm. Crews from Forquilhinha, Criciúma and Rio Maina took part in the response, approaching the fire from outside the building.

By the time firefighting began, the roof over the administrative area had already collapsed. The affected block contained the company’s administrative offices, dining facilities, changing rooms and laundry.

Alongside tackling the flames, the crews worked to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby structures. The information released by the company did not report that other parts of the site had been reached by the fire.

Laticínios Veneza issued a statement on Sunday morning, the 27th. It said the fire had affected the office area and that this section had been isolated. The company did not report an interruption to deliveries.

According to the statement, deliveries were continuing normally despite the damage to the office block. Laticínios Veneza also thanked people for messages of support and addressed customers, friends and business partners about the continuation of its activities.
