91% of Kazakhstani ice cream is exported to Russia

The Russian market accounts for 91% of all external supplies of Kazakhstani frozen dessert.
In addition to Russia, export supplies of ice cream from Kazakhstan were sent to Kyrgyzstan (39 tons) and Uzbekistan (11.8 tons), which confirms the steady interest in Kazakhstani products in the Central Asian markets.
At the same time, there is also active growth in the reverse trade turnover: Russia increased its export of its own ice cream to Kazakhstan from 101 to 234 tons over the same period. Such dynamics indicate the revival of mutual trade and the high competitiveness of the products of both countries in the frozen dessert segment.
According to analysts at Agroexport, by 2030 the volume of Russian ice cream supplies to foreign markets may exceed $110 million, which makes regional markets, including Kazakhstan, an important direction for strategic export.
