In 2023, the trade turnover between Kazakhstan and France increased by 6.4% compared to 2022 and reached 4.2 billion dollars.
Exports to France increased by 15.7% to over 4.3 million tons. However, in monetary terms, there was a noticeable decrease – by 3.9% - to $2.9 billion.
7.8 thousand tons of rapeseed seeds were exported from the Kazakh market to France, which were not supplied in 2022.
Imports increased by 12.7% to 58.8 thousand tons, in monetary terms - by 41.4% to $1.3 billion.
French cheeses and other dairy products were in great demand in Kazakhstan – 5.1 thousand tons (+35.2%).
Imports of agricultural machinery also increased by 1.7 times to 119 units, and tractors by 47.2% to 617 units.
As for investments, France has poured $884.5 million into the economy of Kazakhstan in 2023, which is 14.8% more. And local investors have invested $700 thousand in France (+3.5 times more).
