$50,000 Dairy Gift: Olympic Yogurt Fights Food Insecurity

This generous gift, equally split between Archway Abbotsford Food Bank in British Columbia and Food Banks Alberta, aims to address the growing challenge of providing vulnerable communities with access to essential, nutritious food.
The initiative reflects the company's commitment to community support, as emphasized by Sabrina Zollo, Marketing VP at Lactalis Canada, who acknowledged the extreme pressure food banks face in meeting increasing demands. Part of the donation aligns with Lactalis Canada's ongoing efforts to support food banks nationwide with nutritious Olympic yogurt, crafted from 100% Canadian milk from grassfed cows.
The partner organizations, BC Dairy and Alberta Milk, underscore this support's importance due to the surging cost of living. They aim to alleviate some of the burdens on individuals who rely on these essential food supplies. In addition to hunger relief, Lactalis Canada committed an additional $70,000 to organic associations in British Columbia, Ontario, and Alberta, reinforcing its dedication to sustainable agriculture and strengthening its relationships with farming partners.
The collaboration highlights the Canadian dairy sector's devotion to community engagement and ensuring the availability of healthy dairy options, particularly for those in need.
