OlsAro raises €5 million to develop climate-resilient cereals
Industrifonden and Nordic Foodtech VC led OlsAro’s funding round. The proceeds will finance field trials internationally, development of the company’s SeedAX platform and research on drought tolerance and nitrogen-use efficiency. In saline conditions in Bangladesh, its wheat has delivered yields up to 41% higher than those of a moderately salt-tolerant comparison variety. BinMaster’s acquisition concerns a US business specialising in equipment for monitoring water, soil and weather. The transaction will add water-quality, soil-moisture, weather and environmental technologies to its sensor and data-monitoring range, serving agriculture, industry and horticulture.
Dr. Eckel’s AntaSync has been recognised as a novelty for the 2026 EuroTier Innovation Award. Founders Antje and Bernhard Eckel will withdraw from daily operations at the close of 2026; Viktor and Klara Eckel will take over in 2027. Another EuroTier award recipient, Sveaverken, earned a silver medal for Glide Flo, its autonomous manure-cleaning robot. The machine uses 3D LiDAR to map and navigate slatted-floor alleys, requiring minimal alterations to the floor. Its features improve obstacle detection and reduce daily manual cleaning. Sveaverken plans demonstrations at EuroTier in Hanover on November 10th–13th, in Hall 13 at stand F42.
