The French dairy giant, Lactalis, has announced the continuation of operations at its drying plant in Cardona, Uruguay, which will secure between 45 and 50 jobs in the area.
Meanwhile, the UHT line, also referred to as "white line", has begun operating at the Granja Pocha facility in Juan Lacaze, processing around 70,000 liters of milk daily sourced from nearby Cardona farms. The shift includes the gradual integration of approximately 40 workers from Cardona to Granja Pocha's operations.
