Kyrgyzstan Increased Milk and Cream Exports by 47% in January–February 2026
The main destination for these exports remains Kazakhstan, which accounted for the majority of Kyrgyz milk and cream exports. In January–April 2026, Kyrgyzstan exported 11.8 thousand tons of dairy products, which is 1.69 thousand tons more than in the same period last year.
A few dozen more tons of products were sent to Uzbekistan. This trend reflects the strengthening of regional food trade in Central Asia.
The growth in exports is linked to the gradual development of milk processing in Kyrgyzstan. In recent years, new dairy workshops and small processing enterprises have been emerging in the country, targeting not only the domestic market but also exports to neighboring states.
An additional factor is Kyrgyzstan's participation in the Eurasian Economic Union. Unified veterinary and customs regulations simplify access to the Kazakh market, which is one of the key buyers of Kyrgyz dairy products.
