The study, which involved 1,437 people and was conducted by phone and online from July 10 to 14, found that only 14% of respondents do not experience concern about food prices. At the same time, another 14% of Americans are forced to resort to "buy now, pay later" (BNPL) plans when making grocery purchases.

Housing costs are the second highest concern, deemed critical by 47% of respondents. This is followed by issues related to personal savings and earnings levels (43% each), the cost of medical services (42%), and credit card debt (29%).

The overall picture shows that financial circumstances cause serious stress to the vast majority of Americans in one way or another – 75% of those surveyed.
