Fonterra Forecasts Highest New Zealand Milk Collections in Four Years

Fonterra Co-operative Group has forecast its New Zealand milk collections to reach their highest levels in four years during the current dairy season.
In its latest Global Dairy Update released on Friday, Fonterra projected that it would collect 1.498 billion kilograms of milksolids (kgMS) this season, marking a significant increase from the 1.47 billion kgMS collected in the previous season. This expected total would be the highest since the 2020/21 season, when the co-operative collected 1.53 billion kgMS.
The current season, which began in June, has already passed its peak production month of October. Fonterra described the season's performance as "really strong," reflecting solid production levels across its New Zealand operations.
