Darigold, Inc., a key player in the dairy industry, has opened a new facility in Pasco, Washington, marking the largest dairy processing plant in the Northwest. The plant will handle up to 8 million pounds of milk daily from over 100 regional farms, reflecting a $1 billion investment. This initiative not only creates 200 direct jobs but also supports 1,000 additional positions indirectly. In line with U.S. Dairy's 2050 stewardship goals, the facility incorporates cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices, including low-emission burners and advanced wastewater treatment.

"Dairy demand continues to grow, both here at home and abroad," said Allan Huttema, President and CEO of Darigold, highlighting the plant's potential to enhance the Northwest's status as a global dairy leader. The Pasco project, located strategically for optimal supply chain efficiency, underscores Darigold's commitment to environmentally responsible operations and long-term industry growth.
