China Emerges as a Key Market for Russian Ice Cream, While Kazakhstan Retains Leadership

In 2024, China recorded the fastest growth in imports of Russian ice cream, increasing purchases by 1.4 times to $2.7 million. This surge highlights the growing interest of the Asian market in Russian products. However, Kazakhstan remains the largest importer, purchasing $19.8 million worth of ice cream, accounting for more than 60% of total exports.
The total export volume of Russian ice cream in 2024 reached $32.7 million. In addition to Kazakhstan and China, significant shipments were made to Uzbekistan ($5.2 million), Azerbaijan ($1.6 million), Kyrgyzstan ($864,000), Georgia ($600,000), Israel ($565,000), the United States ($516,700), Armenia ($476,000), and Serbia ($249,000).
China also showed the highest growth in monetary terms, increasing its import volume by $799,000 (+40% compared to 2023). This trend confirms the expanding export opportunities for Russian producers and the growing popularity of Russian ice cream in the Asian market.
