Atena Süd: Azerbaijan’s Largest Dairy Plant to Host Final Day of DairyRally

Located in the southern region of the country, Atena Süd was designed by the French company Danone and launched in 2011. Today, it stands as Azerbaijan’s largest dairy facility, with an installed processing capacity of 400 tons per day and an average daily intake of 250 tons.
Production at the plant is fully automated and equipped with state-of-the-art technology from leading international suppliers including Reda, Serac, Tetra Pak, Waldner, among others. The facility also includes its own PET bottle blow molding line.
A key focus of the tour will be the plant’s raw milk sourcing strategy. Atena Süd exclusively processes milk from its own farm, which participants of DairyRally will also visit on the same day. This vertically integrated model ensures full quality control across the entire production chain — from farm to finished product.
