Key investors include APG on behalf of ABP, Invest-NL, and InnovationQuarter, alongside continued support from Fonterra and dsm-firmenich. This backing sets Vivici apart from competitors due to its unique combination of cutting-edge biotechnology and extensive expertise in dairy protein production.
As part of its sustainability efforts, Vivitein BLG offers an environmentally friendly solution, reducing water usage by 86% and carbon footprint by 68% compared to traditional dairy protein production methods. Stephan van Sint Fiet emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability and its ambition to set a new standard in the protein industry. Furthermore, Vivici plans to expand its production capacity with a U.S.-based partner and launch a lactoglobulin ingredient, Vivitein LF, later this year.
