Visitors tried Daresbury Dairy’s new Christmas ice-cream flavours
Daresbury Dairy launched its festive ice-cream specials earlier this month. The products are made fresh on the farm using milk from the family’s dairy cows, and are available as individual scoops and take-home tubs.
The seasonal selection includes four flavours: black forest, Turkish delight, white chocolate and hazelnut, and amaretto and cherry. The black forest variety was described as suitable for chocolate fans, with cherry notes combining with the chocolate. The white chocolate and hazelnut flavour was characterised as creamy and smooth, with a taste likened to a Kinder Bueno.
Turkish delight was described as “very refreshing and light”. Amaretto and cherry received particular attention after gaining recognition in both the Great Taste Awards and the Ice Cream Alliance Golden Scoop Awards. It was described as rich and indulgent, and as leaving tasters wanting more.
The dairy is also bringing back its Christmas Tasting Selection Pack. The boxed product contains six 120ml tubs of the festive flavours, allowing customers to sample the range or give it as a present.
Handcrafted ice-cream cake desserts will be available to order from mid-November 2026. The dairy said these would provide an option for festive gatherings and Christmas dinners.
The flavours can be tried at Daresbury Dairy at Penkridge Lake Farm on Newton Lane in Daresbury. The farm is open from Wednesday to Sunday, between noon and 5pm.
