The center was established by the initiative of the Eurasia Group with support from the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Switzerland. Its operations focus on direct negotiations between Kazakhstani companies and potential international partners, as well as finding distribution channels beyond Switzerland.

Priority sectors include metallurgy, the agro-industrial complex, and the food and chemical industries. Kazakhstani enterprises can use the platform to connect with importers and retailers. No new contracts or future supply volumes were announced at the opening.

According to the Kazakh Ambassador to Switzerland, K. Sarzhanov, Swiss investments in the Kazakh economy have exceeded $36.5 billion since 2005. Trade turnover between the two countries reached $1.5 billion in 2025.

Kazakhstan's Minister of Trade and Integration, Arman Shakkaliev, emphasized the importance of attracting Swiss technology and developing production competencies during the ceremony. The center is expected to facilitate not only the sale of Kazakhstani goods but also the search for partners for joint production projects.

The Eurasia Group, the initiator of the center, operates in Kazakhstan in the field of agricultural machinery. The group's investments in the country have reached $88.5 million, directed towards service infrastructure, equipment, and specialist training. Since 2025, the company has been organizing local production of John Deere equipment in Kazakhstan.

Nurlan Kulbatyrov, CEO of "QazTrade" JSC, presented Kazakhstan's export and investment potential and the existing support tools for manufacturers entering the Swiss market. The event was attended by representatives from the Canton of Schaffhausen, businesses of both countries, the diplomatic corps, and the scientific community. The Swiss side expressed interest in cooperation in agriculture, business, and agricultural product processing.

Besides business activities, the center will also focus on promoting Kazakhstani history and culture and developing educational and scientific ties. The opening program included performances of Kazakh music on the dombra and violin, and a presentation of national clothing by the brand Tarbiya.
