In 2023, Russia exported dairy products worth over $20 million to Azerbaijan
The event was moderated by Artem Belov, Director General of the National Union of Milk Producers, who noted that Russia exported dairy products worth more than $20 million to Azerbaijan in 2023. According to him, Russia is ready to become a reliable partner for Azerbaijan in providing raw materials for the dairy and confectionery industries.
Ilham Bayramov, Director General of the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization, shared information on dairy certification standards in the country, emphasizing that product certification provides competitive advantages in the Azerbaijani market.
Representatives of large Azerbaijani manufacturers, such as Milla Dairy, SAB Azerbaijan and others, expressed interest in expanding cooperation with Russian suppliers of raw dairy products. Among the products for which demand was voiced were dry milk, whey, condensed milk and cheeses.
Following the meeting, representatives of Russian businesses noted high prospects for increasing exports to Azerbaijan in the coming years, given favorable conditions for trade, including logistics and the absence of customs barriers.
