According to Georgiy Kukhaleyshvili, an analyst from the Milk Producers Association, the price increase occurs against the backdrop of weakened domestic demand and the accumulation of finished product stocks. "With the suspension of dairy exports to the EU, companies are working for storage, which, along with the falling prices on the global butter market, may pressure domestic prices in the future," the expert explained.

Factors of price growth:

  • reduction in export capabilities;

  • inflationary pressure on raw materials and energy carriers;

  • increase in processing costs;

  • growth in transportation and logistics costs.
