Demand for Milk in Large Packages Grows in Russia
According to Leonid Ardalyonov, Director of Analytics at NTech, this trend indicates a shift in demand towards larger package formats, which are becoming more convenient for consumers.
"The increase in sales of 1400 ml and 2000 ml milk packages means that demand is shifting towards family-sized packaging. For various reasons, these are becoming more suitable and convenient for customers," said Leonid Ardalyonov.
At the same time, sales of milk in 925 ml packages have noticeably increased. According to NTech, the growth was 32%, although this format currently occupies about 4% of the market. Ardalyonov attributes this trend to successful sales of one of its own brands in the federal discount chain "Chizhik."
The expert explains changes in sales of milk in other package formats by a combination of factors, including changes in consumer preferences, price fluctuations, and commercial activity by major market players.
