Cottage Cheese Production in Russia Increases by 10.7% from January to April 2026
In the first four months of the year, Russian enterprises produced 285,000 tonnes of cheese, an increase of 3.7% compared to the previous year.
The production of fermented dairy products, excluding sour cream, increased by 1.7%, reaching 740,000 tonnes.
However, several dairy categories experienced a decline. The production of milk, excluding raw milk, decreased by 0.6% to 2 million tonnes. Butter production fell by 5.4% to 108,000 tonnes.
Overall, food production in Russia decreased by 4.2% in April 2026 compared to the previous month, while the production of beverages increased by 7.9%.
