In Kazakhstan, Butter Production Increased by 10.4%, While Powdered Milk Decreased by 1.6 Times

According to the Bureau of National Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan, from January to July 2025, Kazakhstani enterprises and households produced over 382.4 thousand tons of milk and cream, which is 3.4% more than in the same period of 2024.

Key product categories showed growth:

Yogurt, kefir, and other fermented dairy products — 149.9 thousand tons, an increase of 5.3%;

Butter and spreads — 21.5 thousand tons, an increase of 10.4%;

Pasty dairy products — 4.4 thousand tons, a growth of 29.8%, marking one of the most significant jumps of the year.
Declines were observed in certain segments:

Cheese and cottage cheese — 27.1 thousand tons, a decrease of 8.9%;

Powdered milk and condensed milk — 2.3 thousand tons, a reduction of 1.6 times compared to last year.
