As noted during an online meeting by experts from the international analytical network IFCN, feed futures markets are currently quiet, easing pressure on farmers' margins, Dairynews.today writes.

"The market is calm in anticipation of the harvest season in South America. The forecast for feed prices remains unchanged, significant fluctuations are not expected. Additionally, we observe a decrease in production in several key producer regions," analysts at IFCN noted.
According to experts, feed prices are stabilizing with a slight tendency to rise.
Furthermore, in their opinion, feed prices are unlikely to drop to previous average levels observed between 2015-2020.
"In March, a decrease in the pace of milk production growth is observed in an increasing number of regions," analysts noted.
The dairy herd in the USA continues to shrink, raising questions about the expansion of the dairy sector.
"In total, milk production worldwide grew by +1% in 2023. Meanwhile, the cattle population has decreased by 0.5% for the second consecutive year," noted IFCN.
