Tetra Pak Introduces Revolutionary Recycled Packaging in India

Tetra Pak has taken a significant step forward in sustainable packaging as it becomes the first company in India’s food and beverage industry to introduce packaging with certified recycled polymers. Starting April 1, 2025, their new carton packages will incorporate 5% certified recycled polymers, aligning with India's Plastic Waste Management (Amendment) Rules 2022.
This advancement demonstrates the company's commitment to reducing plastic waste. In a press release, Tetra Pak emphasized its use of packaging materials certified by ISCC PLUS, ensuring high standards of environmental responsibility are met.
"The transition to mainstream adoption of materials like plant-based and recycled polymers is still a work in progress. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that all our packaging is made from renewable or recycled polymers, eliminating reliance on fossil feedstock," commented a company spokesperson.
