Tatua Again Pays a Top Milk Price
Tatua Co-operative Dairy Company has set its final payment to farmer shareholders at $12.42 per kilogram of milksolids, or kgMS, for the season. The company described the payment as its latest top milk price.
The specialist dairy-product processor recorded earnings of $13.93 for each kilogram of milksolids supplied by its shareholders during the financial year that ended in July. The payout represents the portion of those earnings being distributed to the farmer owners.
Tatua will retain $1.51 per kgMS from the earnings. The retained amount is intended to support the co-operative’s future growth and resilience, while the remaining balance is being paid to shareholders.
The result follows a season in which shareholder milk collections reached a record level. Tatua also commissioned additional manufacturing capacity during the period covered by the result.
The co-operative has about 100 farmer owners based around its plant. Its shareholder-supplied milksolids provide the raw material for the company’s specialist dairy products.
The final payout was reported on October 5, 2026. The available report compared the result with the previous season’s earnings, but the supplied text does not include the earlier figure.
