Spain’s Milk Output Rises 2.2% as Producer Price Falls

Milk deliveries in Spain reached 637,497 tonnes in July. The monthly volume was 2.2% higher than the comparable figure a year earlier and exceeded the levels recorded in recent years.

The increase in deliveries was reported alongside a lower return for producers. The price paid for milk fell by 3.8 euro cents.

The number of milk producers declined during the same period. Spain lost a further 45 producers in one month, according to the report.
