The Verona-based facility was originally developed to help Shamrock Farms bring more of its high-quality products to customers nationwide. Today, the plant stands as a testament to the company’s commitment to innovation, boasting advanced manufacturing and warehousing capabilities.

“This investment reflects our dedication to growing the Shamrock Farms brand on a national scale,” said Devon McClelland, President and fourth-generation leader of the McClelland family business. “By expanding our facilities and advancing our technology, we’re positioning ourselves for future success and reaffirming our commitment to delivering the products our customers trust and love.”

Shamrock Farms’ wide-ranging product portfolio, including the popular Rockin’ Protein® and ready-to-drink milk line, is available in all 50 states, with distribution through over 135,000 retail locations and quick-service restaurants, such as Kroger, Publix, and Circle K.

The $59 million project will introduce new equipment, expanded cold storage, and an additional production line, with support from a $600,000 Virginia Investment Performance Grant and a $300,000 grant from the Governor’s Agriculture and Forestry Industries Development Fund. Slated for completion by 2028, the expansion underscores Shamrock Farms’ long-term investment in Augusta County’s economic development and its support for local dairy farmers through the Maryland and Virginia Milk Producers Cooperative Association.

For more than 100 years, Shamrock Farms has proudly provided families with pure, fresh milk products free from the growth hormone rBST, embodying the company’s steadfast commitment to quality, community, and sustainability.
