Schuman Cheese and GOOD PLANeT Foods Form Joint Venture in Plant-Based Dairy

Innovation in plant-based dairy takes a step forward with the new collaboration between Schuman Cheese and GOOD PLANeT Foods.

Schuman Cheese, a leader in specialty cheese, has partnered with GOOD PLANeT Foods to form a joint venture named GPV Foods, LLC. This collaboration aims to set a new standard in the plant-based dairy industry by leveraging their combined expertise and market reach. Schuman's Vevan brand and GOOD PLANeT’s retail business will merge to meet the rising demand for high-quality, dairy-free cheese alternatives.

The synergy between the two companies will enhance production capabilities and streamline distribution, positioning GPV Foods for rapid growth. Keith Schuman, Plant-Based Business Unit Lead at Schuman Cheese, expressed how this partnership strengthens manufacturing capabilities and broadens their plant-based offerings.

David Israel, CEO of GOOD PLANeT Foods, underlined the enhanced platform for retail and foodservice created by pairing with Schuman’s artisan cheesemaking craft. With over 1,200 retail locations nationwide already stocking GOOD PLANeT products, the joint venture's reach and customer base are set to expand significantly.

Schuman Cheese, founded in 1945, continues to innovate within the plant-based market through Vevan, while GOOD PLANeT Foods leads in allergen-free cheese options. Together, the companies are poised to drive the next chapter of growth in plant-based cheese with shared resources and a unified vision.
