Saputo has raised $640,000 for United Way branches across Canada during its annual three-week fundraising campaign. The initiative, which united employees around a common cause, included a variety of creative workplace activities such as sketch contests and cannoli bake sales. Saputo matched every dollar donated, effectively doubling the contribution.

The company, a long-time supporter of United Way, has been involved in the organization’s efforts for over two decades, underscoring its ongoing commitment to strengthening communities. This year’s contribution will help support United Way’s mission to address local needs, with a focus on combating inflation and food insecurity.

Saputo and United Way share common values, and both strive to make a meaningful impact on society through community engagement,” said Haig Poutchigian, president and COO of Saputo’s Canadian division. “Given the challenges we face globally, it's easy to overlook the needs of others. Now, more than ever, we must lend a hand to those in need.”

Louise Wagar, Regional Director and Co-President of Saputo’s United Way campaign, added, “At Saputo, we are committed to giving back to the communities where we live and work. United Way helps support various causes, and through our partnership, we have the chance to truly make a difference.”

In addition to its United Way efforts, Saputo invested $3.8 million in Canadian communities during its fiscal year 2024, impacting 3.4 million people. The company has also partnered with several other organizations, including FitSpirit, KidSport, Le Grand défi Pierre Lavoie, and La Tablée des Chefs, to further extend its positive impact across the country.
