Florin Herbai, the founder and owner of Simultan, one of Romania's leading dairy companies with entirely Romanian capital, has entered discussions regarding the potential sale of his company to a foreign investor. This information was reported by Economica.net.
Herbai commented on the ongoing talks, stating, "We have been discussing selling [the company] for about eight months. I received an offer, and I am ready to sell it for the right price." Florin Herbai, along with his family, established and expanded Simultan and its flagship brand Sim over the last 30 years.
Simultan is headquartered in Timis County but operates in multiple locations across the western and central regions of Romania. In 2023, the company reported a turnover of RON 400 million (EUR 80 million) and a net profit of RON 40 million.
The dairy company has recently expanded its operations by inaugurating its third production facility, a EUR 30 million investment, and plans to progressively transfer its milk processing activities to this new location.
