Purabi Dairy is setting a target of Rs. 450 crore turnover by FY 2025-26, supported by strategic expansion with NDDB.

After a significant accomplishment with a turnover of Rs. 320 crore last financial year, Assam's Purabi Dairy is now setting its sights higher for 2025-26 with a target of Rs. 450 crore. The company, run by the West Assam Milk Producers’ Co-operative Union Ltd. (WAMUL), is planning an expansion in collaboration with the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).
According to Sameer Kumar Parida, the managing director of the cooperative, "These certifications validate the rigorous standards we’ve maintained across our operations." The ISO certifications were awarded for its commitment to quality and safety management in its production facilities. The Panjabari plant's capacity is set to double to 3 lakh litres per day, driven by a Rs. 100 crore investment that will make it the largest milk processing facility in the region. Purabi Dairy, achieving a 25% year-on-year revenue growth, is expanding its product range with new introductions like Purabi Ice Cream and Purabi Flavoured Milk. Their distribution has significantly broadened, reaching various regions across Assam, thereby positioning the cooperative for further market expansion.
The growth not only contributes to the cooperative's earnings but also supports approximately 51,000 dairy farmers across Assam, enhancing their livelihood through infrastructure and service support.
