Yogurt Production in Russia Decreased by 1% in 2025 Amid Consumption Growth
Yogurt production in Russia from January to November 2025, according to preliminary estimates, decreased by 1% compared to the same period in 2024 and amounted to 730.3 thousand tons.
The total output of fermented dairy products (excluding cottage cheese) during the reporting period also showed a decline — by 1.5%, reaching 2.53 million tons.
In contrast to the production decrease, yogurt consumption showed positive dynamics. From January to October 2025, it increased by 1%, reaching 704.5 thousand tons.
As of early December 2025, yogurt inventories at dairy processing enterprises decreased by 5% year-on-year, totaling 7.7 thousand tons.
