Production of Skimmed Milk Powder in Russia Increased by 15.3%

According to analysts, from January to July 2025, the production of skimmed milk powder in Russia increased by 15.3% compared to the same period last year, reaching 79.7 thousand tons, while its consumption decreased by 0.2% to 70.7 thousand tons.

Production of whole milk powder in the same period increased by 10.8%, reaching 53.9 thousand tons, while consumption rose by 1.2% to 52.6 thousand tons.
In contrast to the increase in production, dry whey showed a decline: its production decreased by 4.3%, to 131.5 thousand tons, and consumption fell by 3.6%, to 109.3 thousand tons.
By the beginning of August, inventories at processors' warehouses had significantly increased:

whole milk powder - +12% (up to 7.1 thousand tons),

skimmed milk powder - +67% (up to 19.5 thousand tons),

while dry whey stocks decreased by 12%, to 12.1 thousand tons.
