Butter Production in Russia Increased by 2.3%

Amid the production increase, analysts have noted a decline in consumption. From January to October 2025, domestic butter consumption dropped by 6.9%, totaling 349.2 thousand tons. At the same time, warehouse stocks have significantly increased, rising by 112% as of early December 2025, amounting to 32.5 thousand tons.

In the margarine and spreads segment, the dynamics were mixed. Production in this category decreased by 0.8% from January to November 2025, totaling 548.7 thousand tons. Meanwhile, consumption from January to October increased by 2.3%, reaching 358.6 thousand tons.

Conversely, stocks of margarine and spreads at dairy processing enterprises' warehouses decreased. As of early December 2025, they fell by 35%, down to 8.1 thousand tons.
